The Secret Of ICE STORM WARNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY

 



By the Weather Reports — An ice storm warning is in effect from 6 p.m. tonight until midday Wednesday. The majority of counties in News Channel 3's viewing area are affected.


The National Weather Service forecasted ice accumulations of one-quarter to one-half inch across much of the area between late Monday and Wednesday afternoon on Monday morning.


This morning is cloudy and damp, with a light drizzle. Highs are in the upper 30s and north winds are forecast for today. Overnight rain or freezing rain is possible, with lows in the upper 20s by daybreak. Tuesday's highs will be in the lower 30s. Travel concerns for the next few days due to icing on bridges and overpasses.


Mid-South motorists will be concerned about freezing rain or sleet tonight, tomorrow, and early Wednesday. Prepare for potential issues. The rain, sleet, or snow will stop and the skies will clear by the end of the week, allowing us to gradually warm up. The temperatures will remain below normal for the rest of the week.
