 Due to local constraints, users in Pakistan will be allowed to make Play Store purchases using credit or debit cards beginning December 1, according to The News.


"Google Play is and will continue to be available to all Pakistani users." However, the payment alternatives available may change over time. Due to local constraints, users in Pakistan will be able to make Play Store purchases only with credit or debit cards beginning December 1, 2022, unless other payment options are made available, according to a Google official.

 The State Bank of Pakistan cancelled direct carrier billing (DCB) for cellular mobile providers, leaving a $34 million unpaid balance. Following this, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and four mobile providers wrote to the central bank.
